On April 23, 2025, the Museum of Cinematography in Łódź opened the exhibition MOOMINS: the door is always open.

The official opening of the exhibition was attended  by Roleff Kråkström representing the heirs of Tove Jannson.

The Museum of Cinematography has a particularly good reason to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Moomins. In the years 1977–1982, the Se-Ma-For Studio of Small Film Forms in Łódź produced the animated series Moomin Stories, based on Tove Jansson's books. The Museum's collection includes original semi-flat dolls that starred in the animation. We invite everyone to visit the exhibition and participate in events related to it.
